Saints Row 2 is one of the best open world games to date and the best Saints Row and it is such a shame to see this game get such a shitty port. I've looked around and seen its a common problem and tried all the possible "fixes" not one works, this is so aggravating. I've done this mission 4 times now and the game keeps crashing in the exact same place. There's this mission called "Burning down the House" which is Sons of Samedi mission in which you go around and destroy the drug labs and kill the lab techs the problem is after killing the final lab tech a cutscene is supposed to play but the game crashes instead causing me to loose all that mission progress. Now usually I wouldn't mind, but the crashing has got to the point in which it is simply game breaking. I even have the Gentlemen of the Row mod which is supposed to fix a lot crashing installed but I still get them.
Unfortunately it turned out the reason why the port is so bad is due the fact that the damn game keeps crashing. I had heard stories about it being an unoptimised mess but I thought hey they game is over decade old and my gaming laptop should be able to bruteforce it. However I did not expect the port to be so damn bad.
So I'd been in a mood recently to play an open world world game and chose that game to be Saints Row 2 as I remembered buying it along with the other 2 in a Steam bundle sale.
